Vankshita Mishra is a filmmaker, writer & curator based in Los Angeles and London.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) at Durham University, she worked freelance in film, at Hypatia Publications, as well as briefly with Greenpeace UK. She was a member of the 2021-2022 Other Cinemas Film School.
In 2022, Vankshita was selected for a Fulbright-BAFTA Scholarship to pursue an MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California. While pursuing her Masters, she received the 2024 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Writing Award and the BAFTA-Pigott Scholarship.
As a curator, Vankshita organised and hosted a poetry and dance performance at the National Poetry Library, Southbank Centre and two independent art exhibitions in L.A.
She is a member of Ersatz Collective and terracotta productions.
